KESSIE's story
Hi! I'm Kessie and I'm a transplant from Georgia.
I had a pretty *ruff* life before I moved to Florida with my siblings. We weren't taken care of and it made us a little disappointed in humans, but things are looking so much better in the Sunshine state. We get real dogfood here instead of the fish scraps we lived on from a business near where we roamed. I like the dogfood better, and no kids are throwing things at us here.
It takes me a little time to warm up to humans, but I've found the easiest way is to cuddle in bed and take naps with them. I hate to brag, but I'm really good at that. Despite the fact that I roamed early in my life, I won't go to the bathroom in your house. I learned to go outside when I lived there and continue to do so.
My favorite game to play with my foster mom is to wiggle my butt just out of reach from her. I go to her for snuggles and food, but I make her work for it. It helps when she squats down on the floor and talks to me like I'm a baby. Because she's so persistent, I make her work a little less hard every day, but I still like it when she talks sweet to me, so I might ride this out for awhile. I'm enjoying hanging out with her dogs and the other fosters, but I'd really like to be somewhere permament. I'm still small, but I can hang with the big dogs. She said I'm getting fixed soon and even though I don't know what that means, it sounds pretty awesome to me.
I was told that not a lot of people like all black dogs, but I think it makes me look like I'm always dressed for a formal event (and it's pretty slimming for my figure). If someone would like to adopt me and buy me a rhinestone collar, I'd be set for any event you'd like to attend.
